She swore she wasn't coming back to this place until she was safe from Andras and Calian. Until they were both under control, their differences reconciled and whatever bad blood than ran between them was dried, she wouldn't come back to Skyclan for Vindicate. She would not do it, lest he become part of the problem.

She did swear to find her sister though, Elizabeth. Keep her safe from harm, even at the cost of her own life. It was ironic that her sentiment was twisted in such a way that lead to her lying on the cold hard ground just on the border of Skyclan, a knife resting in her chest and choking on her own blood as she lay dying.

Lay next to her was her brother, Andras, who had passed out a long time ago. He was past saving, having taken a blow to the skull that knocked him unconscious and a throwing knife resting right between his eyes. But not before he'd stabbed his sister and began to choke her to death. The only reason that she was still clutching to life was the fact that she was too stubborn to die.

She had always been a stubborn girl ever since she was little. She never was one to listen to rules, never was to pay attention to what she should and shouldn't do. If she formulated opinions, she stuck to them and got attached to the wrong people. Case in point was the serval lay next to her, not moving and also dying slowly.

But those two? They'd been inseparable once. Bound by something stronger than blood, something stronger than circumstances that forced them apart. All it took was a "blessing" of eternal life and the bond between them snapped. They'd been at each other throats and now they had killed each other. There would be no coming back for Anima this time, no coming back for Andras either, exactly what he wished for.

Her mind wandered to others as she lay dying. It wandered to Toast, her first love that loved her back. Her one time fiancee, someone that she loved and cherished but in the end, she drove him away too. He left hating her, cursing her and she destroyed what they had together because she couldn't stand to be alone and to wait for him.

Her children hated her too. Birdcage became a leader, a proud feline that she could not be more proud of. However, she resented her for leaving her father to date Vindicate. Tidalwave sided with his sister, understandably. Anima knew she was a shitty mother, but she wanted to say goodbye to her children in that moment. Children she hadn't seen for years.

Her sisters, they were gone too. Rainbowveins was a shining light, someone that she knew had the best qualities. She was like a light in the dark, someone that she placed on a pedestal above her and by Etro, she was blessed to have her as a sibling. And she would miss Winterbones too, as stubborn and crazy as herself with a spirit that was born of fire. The first friend she made coming to the clans that she stuck with, someone that always had her back. Her decision to fall in love with Vindicate wrecked those relationships too and the two were gone before she could mend it.

And Etro, Vindicate himself. She wanted him to come across her now so much, apologise for the things that she had put him through. She had hated him, tried to kill, driven him insane but by Etro, she loved him so much. It was true then, love destroyed things. It broke people completely, left them hollowed out wrecks with the other person and it scarred them beyond recognition. Love had never been a positive thing for the dying goddess, it was a curse. It drove her to wrack and ruin every time it touched her, be it platonic or romantic.

She was a broken girl that was finally dying. For too long she'd clung onto a life she did not deserve, took lives that weren't hers to take and she deserved this. Bleeding out in a slow painful death choking on her blood was something that a murderous scum like her deserved. She was no better than a common killer really.

And now she was to die.
